Quotes, Proverbs and Sayings

Quotes, proverbs and sayings are juicily phrased expressions which reflect the wisdom of people who used their immense talent to express their experience in words. These expressions are always interesting to read for in the majority of cases they are coined with the help of certain exciting play of words or irony or just good humour.
Often quotes, proverbs and sayings are very wise and give us a splendid opportunity to learn from them; sometimes quotes and sayings are just funny and make us smile; often these three types of expressions surprise us and please our ears and minds with their brilliance, their equally perfect and harmonious form and sense.
There are situations when you find a certain phrase said by some famous writer, you read it and realize that it's the best thing you've ever heard concerning your current views and outlook. Examples of such perfectly phrased expressions are endless: 'Wit is educated insolence' (Aristotle), 'A true friend stabs you in the front' (Oscar Wilde), out of sight out of mind (proverb) etc.
Indeed, we often use famous people's quotes, proverbs or sayings in our own speech or writing just because we consider that no one else but this or that is able to put your thoughts in a better form than the quotation you are so into. Other cases are when the quote or saying is not tricky at first sight, but sounds so funny and witty that you can't but remember it and use it with your friends.
